SOURCES AND CORRECTIONS POLICY
Where does the information come from, and what happens if something does not match?
TÄRING uses operators’ official promotion pages, terms and other primary sources. We show when information was checked and keep assumptions clearly separate from facts.
A promotion page may change, disappear or remain accessible through an old address. A working link alone therefore does not prove that an offer is still active.
SOURCE PRIORITY
We always start as close to the original source as possible
We check offer conditions where the operator publishes them. For legal and licensing information, we use official information from the relevant register or authority.
Promotion page and full terms
Here we check reward amounts, eligibility, wagering requirements, restrictions, validity and other details that affect a decision.
The operator’s help and rules pages
If the promotion page refers to separate rules or a help centre, we check those too. A general rule does not replace a promotion’s specific condition.
Account-specific or restricted-access information
If essential information is available only after login or to a particular group of users, we note the access restriction and do not present unseen conditions as certain facts.
Information from authorities and registers
To verify a company, licence or other legal fact, we use the competent authority’s public register, not a promotion’s marketing copy.
THE CHECKING PROCESS
A single promotion card is not enough
An advertising line usually gives only the most attractive part of an offer. A TÄRING entry is completed only after the important conditions have been reconciled.
- 1
We find the offer in the official active list
This confirms that the operator currently presents the offer to users, rather than making it available only through an old direct link.
- 2
We open the details and linked terms
We also check pop-ups, rules pages and other official sections linked from the promotion page.
- 3
We distinguish earning a reward from using it
Stake, deposit, playing volume, wagering requirements, withdrawal caps and reward validity must retain their correct meanings.
- 4
We check dates and discrepancies
If the card and the terms show different values, we do not silently choose the more convenient one.
- 5
We publish the source and checking date
Users can see which official page was used and when the information was last checked.
HOW DO WE NOTICE CHANGES?
We do not collect everything again every time
Regular checks first compare the operator’s current promotion list with the previous check and TÄRING’s active registry. We examine in detail only new, changed, soon-ending or questionable entries.
New or changed
We open the official detail page, check the terms and update only that offer.
Unchanged
If the offer’s important content has not changed, we reuse the existing checked information without an unnecessary full review.
Missing from the list
We check the result again during the same run. If the absence recurs in the next separate successful check, we remove the offer from the active view.
An accessible direct link does not necessarily mean an active offer
An operator may leave an ended promotion page online. We also check activity against the current promotion list, validity dates, expiry notices and whether participation remains possible.
WHEN THE ANSWER IS UNCLEAR
Missing information, discrepancies and restricted access are different things
Each situation needs a different explanation. The most important rule is simple: we do not fill a missing value with an assumption or an example from another promotion.
The official source does not say
We identify exactly which condition is missing. An unpublished winnings cap is not automatically interpreted either as no cap or as an existing cap.
Two official values conflict
We retain both values and check whether the difference is due to timing, the operator, the user group or an error.
Not all conditions can be seen publicly
We explain that information is limited and do not present partial promotion text as the full terms.
The page could not be read reliably
Such a result is not used as grounds to end or change an offer. The check is repeated later.
CORRECTIONS POLICY
A correction must leave a clear record
A correction means more than replacing one sentence. We first check which part is wrong and which other fields it affects.
We define the problem
We record the specific incorrect, missing or contradictory point.
We check the correct official source
We compare the correction against the offer’s current conditions and the correct operator.
We update related information
We change only the affected data, public text and, if needed, validity.
We examine the effect on the rating
If the new information changes the offer’s value, we also recheck the rating, advantages and drawbacks.
We verify the saved result
We read the change back after saving and retain the history of earlier checks.
NOTICED AN ERROR?
Help us make the information more precise
Send the offer link, a short description of the error and, if possible, the official source address. A reply does not change the entry automatically: we verify the information before publishing a correction.
ENDED OFFERS
History is preserved while the active view stays clear
An ended offer is not kept among active promotions just because the old link still opens. We usually keep the historical entry at the same address, mark the offer as ended and remove the old participation button.
If the same promotion returns later, we update the existing entry where possible. This avoids unnecessary duplicates of the same offer.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Useful facts about checking
Does TÄRING copy information from other bonus sites?
No. Public offer information must be based on an official source from the operator, provider or competent authority. Another comparison site’s text is not sufficient evidence.
Why might an old promotion link still open?
An operator may retain an ended promotion page. We also check activity against the current promotion list, validity dates, expiry notices and the ability to take part.
What do you do if official conditions conflict?
We do not silently choose the more convenient value. We preserve the discrepancy, examine its scope and, if necessary, withhold misleading information or a rating until the situation is clear.
How often are promotions checked?
Active lists are compared regularly. A detailed check is carried out for a new, changed, soon-ending, missing or otherwise questionable offer.
How can I report an error?
Write to taring@boonused.org and include the offer link and as precise a description of the error as possible. If you have an official source, include its address too.
